Apple Cup Number 100

The century old celebration continues to astound fans. Apple Cup 2007 marks 100 years of rivalry between the University of Washington Huskies and the Washington State University Cougars. In all of these meetings since 1900, excluding 2007, UW Huskies have won 64 meetings, the WSU Cougars with 29, and 6 ties between the two. Starting with this years meeting, Boeing will officially sponsor each Apple Cup as the competition gains fame. Students are awaiting the game results and the two 4-7 teams are preparing to duke it out in the very special version.

The two teams have received high ranks in the past couple of years. This year, they have barely received a good ol' talkin-bout on even the most barely watched shows of community programming, let alone ESPN. UW hopes to begin another win streak and WSU hopes to stop another.
