The Malibu fire that has been burning for the past couple of days has finally allowed evacuees to return to their former residence. Malibu is reknowned for it's spectacular housing and it's spectacular celebrities. Flea, who plays bass in the Red Hot Chili Peppers, went back to his home to find a burnt structure worth no more than $10 off the property he was standing on. 48 more houses, like Flea's, were destroyed by the Californian flame and 27 others were damaged. At most, 10,000 people were evacuated and half allowed back to visit their residence.
This fire, like the San Diego fire, is determined to be cause by humans. Today, officials are reporting a 40% control of the flame and no further damage to homes will be speculated. 4650 acres have been burned already with more to come. 1700 firefighters are currently involved with 15 helicopters, 15 airplanes, and 1 fire-retardant drop as well.
