For Black Friday and the week before it, the PS3 saw itself off the shelves two and a half times faster than ever before. Price cuts were made, first $100 then another cheaper model was introduced at a $200 cut, from $599 to $499 to $399. After the year where Nintendo and the Wii dominated the market, the Sony has finally made itself competitive and overtook the market with it's sales. The top 10 retailers have reported the surge in sales, however the actual number was not yet available for release.
